Grand Cathay:Defenders Of The Great Bastion

This packed boxed set is a great way to start a new Armies of Grand Cathay force – or grow an existing collection – for games of Warhammer: The Old World. The army is anchored by two Astromancers (one on foot and one mounted), providing strong magical support, while a large Peasant Levy forms the backbone of the force, ready to swamp objectives and grind down enemies through sheer numbers. For ranged dominance, Crane Gun Teams and Iron Hail Gunners bring serious firepower to thin ranks and threaten tougher targets from afar. This box is the first place to get all of these new miniatures.

This set builds 53 multipart plastic Armies of Grand Cathay miniatures:
– 1x Astromancer on foot
– 1x Astromancer mounted on Cathayan Warhorse

– 30x Peasant Soldiers

Customization options are included throughout the kit. Both Astromancers have a choice of two heads and two right-hand weapon options.

The Peasant Levy can be built with either warbows or long spears. You can also assemble up to three optional champions (each with a choice of two heads), three optional musicians, and three optional standard bearers. The kit includes 72 interchangeable heads (a mix of bare heads and hat options), with heads, hats, quivers, and weapons designed to swap freely across the bodies for added variety.
