Class Description: Much like how good chefs know their ingredients to flavor their dish, a good minipainter knows their paints to flavor their model (not edible).
In this course, each person will be given a cube with which we will unveil the hidden mysteries of multiple types of paints such as: branded miniature paints, metallic paints, mediums, heavy body acrylics, airbrush paints, inks, and fluorescents.
We will demonstrate how these different ingredients perform over many different surfaces, and then use this knowledge to practice a variety of painting techniques such as layering and wet blending to cover over our previous work. All tools and paints will be provided. However, feel free to bring anything you would like to learn with! By the end of the course, each person should have a decent understanding of what paints are available to us, and how to choose the right paint for any job.
