Class Description: This intensive 3-day Masterclass focuses on learning how to approach miniature painting with clear intent and purpose from the very start of the project. Rather than treating techniques as goals in themselves, we will explore how they function as tools in a larger artistic process. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on work students will learn how to use those tools to communicate story, atmosphere and emotions on a miniature.

Key topics include volume interpretation, light and shadow, composition, color mixing and color theory as well as how to move from initial sketch to final refinement and the importance of references. Based on your own personal level we will study how to implement all those tools into your workflow.

Special attention will be given to translating ideas onto the figure particularly early in the process, maintaining the original concept throughout the project, and also identifying and correcting mistakes efficiently. The class is suitable for painters of all levels who want to deepen both their technical control and their artistic decision making.

This masterclass will be a total immersion in both technical and purely artistic and conceptual realms and will include:

• Exclusive new figure from my brand Kensho Miniatures sculpted by Africa Mir to work on during the class
• Live demos
• In-class 1-on-1 tutoring and corrections
• Gift paints and brushes in collaboration with Kimera Models
• Extra gift exclusive figure from my brand Kensho Miniatures

What you need to bring:

1. Your favourite brushes 
2. Your most recent finished projects or WIPs
3. The figures for the class will be prepped, primed and ready for the class on a holder, but just in case bring a small assortment of your favourite hobby tools.

All physical items such as those that are pre-ordered or are included with a ticket, must be picked up during the event by no later than 9AM on Sunday October 4, 2026. Items will not be shipped. Items not claimed by 9AM on Sunday will be resold and the original purchase will not be refunded.
